**Announcement as of April 20th
Hello Cooperstown Triathlon participants.
We knew this was coming but it does not make it any easier to announce that the 2020 Cooperstown Triathlon will be cancelled.
Please know that we place our participants, our volunteers, spectators and the community members health and well being above all else.
The great news is that we are confirmed with Glimmerglass State Park to hold the event on June 12, 2021. Your registration has automatically been deferred to that date. You don’t need to do anything.
However; we will be offering all of you the option to transfer for no extra fee* to any of the following events that we are able to hold this calendar year:
Ticonderoga Triathlon Festival – June 20 (we remain hopeful but extremely doubtful that this will happen)
Stissing Triathlon – June 28 (again, doubtful but there is always hope)
Litchfield Hills Triathlon – July 11 (same as above)
Delta Lake Triathlon – July 18 (much more hopeful that we will be able to race by then)
Findley Lake Triathlon – August 1
*CassadagaMan – September 5th (with a discounted fee based upon your current registration)
KBR Triathlon – September 19
Amish Country Running Festival – September 26
We will continue to send you emails and make announcements on Facebook as to the status of future events. You will be given instructions at that time if you decide to transfer to another race. Watch our website for more info on the above listed events at www.CoachMarkWilson.com
Please know that we are extremely disappointed to not be racing with you this year in Cooperstown. Stay safe, stay well and continue to train.
Stay safe, stay well.
Join us for the Cooperstown Triathlon, in it’s 10th year at Glimmerglass State Park, just outside the Village of Cooperstown. The scenery of the park will not disappoint athletes, and neither will the beautiful rolling landscape of the surrounding area. Produced by Wilson Endurance Sports in cooperation with the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation – Central Region.
This Sprint Triathlon begins with a traditionally chilly 400m swim in beautiful Otsego Lake. It is followed by an 11 mile bike ride through the rolling hills and beautiful countryside of the surrounding community. The race finishes with a 3.1 mi run within the Glimmerglass State Park.
Individual Sprint Triathlon, AquaBike and Relay Team.
This is a USAT sanctioned event, all rules and regulations apply. There is no refund for this event nor do we allow bib transfers. If necessary please contact us before race day and we will allow you to defer your registration to 2021 or to another Wilson Endurance Sports event. Race will be held rain or shine. All athletes must produce a valid USAT Annual Membership on race day along with photo ID or purchase a one-day license for $15 or $10 for Annual Membership 17 & Under.
Finisher Medals, Race T-Shirts, post race food and STBC beer zone
